Episode Notes

Jennifer Ramirez' story is difficult to fathom. As a 7-year old, she was the victim of abuse by her own father. Her mother didn't want to believe what happened and  this event had a large impact on Jennifer as a young girl, through her teens and early adult life.

At 21 she was a single mom, living in a gang war zone, in abusive relationships and was $25,000 in debt.

Hear how she turned it all around. Eventually with some guidance, she bought her own place for less than the rent was in her old terrible neighborhood filled with gang violence. SHe got herself out of debt completely and then started buying properties to build her wealth. Not only did she come out of this dire situation with an amazing turnaround, she started a nonprofit to help other women in similar circumstances!

Jennifer could have stayed in the  situation she was in but decided she wanted more out of life than to be a victim. Now she has stopped the cycle and has provided a much better opportunity for her own daughter, as well as others who have participated in the counseling and workshops in the non-profit "& RIse".
